Mimi D Halloween 2024 Roundup

Hey there! It’s Myriam here, and oh boy, this year has been a whirlwind. With Halloween in full swing, my makeup team of 15 has been on a mission across London and the South East. From corporate events that needed some glam-spooky vibes to fun family gatherings where everyone wanted a touch of zombie or sultry vampire, we’ve pretty much done it all.

Halloween makeup jobs are a blast because they let us get extra creative—think fangs, creepy clowns, and loads of fake blood. We’re talking zombie infection style makeup, precision facepaint that’s realistic enough to spook, and skull shapes that look like they’ve jumped right out of a horror flick. Whether it’s a ghoul makeup look for a party or that glam twist on a vampire makeup, we’ve loved every moment.

Fun Fact

Did you know Halloween started over 2,000 years ago with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain? It was held on October 31st to mark the end of the harvest and the start of winter. The Celts believed that on this day, the line between the living and the dead was thin. People would light big fires and wear costumes to keep spirits away. Now, Halloween has changed into the fun, costume-filled event we enjoy today—and we’re here to help you bring those old traditions to life with amazing Halloween makeup!

Bringing Halloween to Corporate Events

Like previous years , I’m thrilled to bring the magic and excitement of Halloween to corporate events.  Myself and the team travelled across London from Harry Potter themed parties to team zombie makeups – I must admit it’s such great fun that it does’t feel like I’m working!

Overbury  Harry Potter Halloween Party

Overbury have used my team for several years now an I love working this company as they always have  such fun ideas for us to work on!  This year was no different with a “Harry Potter” theme.

Louie Restaurant (London)

For this adventure Louie Restaurant in London tasked us with creating some ghostly looks for their staff serving in the restaurant.

Here are some examples of the looks we created:

  • Ghostly looks with a pale white base to create an eerie effect. Dark, heavily smudged eyes to add intensity, while subtle contouring around the cheekbones provides a hollowed appearance.
  • Gory, zombie-like looks. Makeup that includes dark, shadowy eyes that give a fatigued and haunted appearance with blood streaks dripping from the mouth, enhancing the eerie and undead theme.

The Ned -London City

Myriam at the entrance to the nedThe Ned houses Ned’s Club, a private members’ space, gym and rooftop, alongside a public spa, ten restaurants & bars and 250 hotel bedrooms.

Myself and the team were asked to asked to the private members club to give a party there light but ghostly cuts and bruises Halloween makeup.

Whilst we were there look who was part of the party – Jake Livermore ex footballer!  Can you spot him in the gallery below?!

The Ned is such a lovely place we couldn’t resist staying a for a quick drink before we left!

Meta (AKA FaceBook) – London City

Next on the corporate halloween makeup list we ventured to Meta where the design brief was to provide quite funky scary clown looks for an internal party.
